Even though the 30-day challenge is over, Simple Green Smoothies gals still post recipes daily. So follow them on Instagram! The Beginners Luck recipe (for 2) is here:
2 cups spinach, fresh
2 cups water
1 cup pineapple
1 cup mango
2 bananas
YUMMMMMMY!
So yesterday I made a "Just Plummy" and threw all my Organic Burst supplements into it. I was hoping for the best, as the flavours were obviously combined. And....it was OK. I think if I had made a smoothie I was less fond of and threw all the supplements into it, I would have perhaps not been able to drink it. On Sunday (Day #1 of the November Challenge) I also threw some of the supplements into my smoothie, but only 3 of them. I think by me adding the wheatgrass and the spirulina today it was just too much. And as suspected, I forgot to take these two before lunch and dinner so they were basically skipped that first day.
This morning I didn't want to mix it all up again (I just wanted to enjoy the taste of the smoothie itself) so I am going to have to figure out another way to take them all. I did try eating the Chlorella grains off of a spoon....and it was do-able. You just have to wash them down with water pretty fast. I think I will throw them all into a small amount of juice and just chug it. Maybe later on in the month I will play around with some of the recipes from Organic Burst, but most days I will simply just take the supplements.

As part of this month's challenge I also logged off of Facebook and so far the break has been great! I do wonder how some people are doing, but for the most part I don't miss it much. When I logged off, I left a link to my blog - this was a huge vulnerability step for me. Although I enjoy writing here, the idea that anyone and at anytime can log on to my blog and judge my words is very scary to me. (You might wonder then why I even have a blog. Sometimes I do too). When I was young, one of my favourite things to do was to write, and I still enjoy it now. Writing this way is fun for me, and I believe that we can all learn from each other. So sharing some of personal stories is therapeutic for me, and hopefully helpful for others. I remind myself that if people don't like what they are reading, they are more than welcome to move on.
The third aspect of this challenge was to read at least 30 minutes a day. So far, I haven't done that yet. I need to start this right away. The trick is just getting started. If it's a good read, the book simply takes over.
